Owned and Operated by Greg and Tracy Sweetman, Gold Coast Barges aims to provide excellent, professional service to clients on the Gold Coast Waterways. From transporting vehicles and equipment, to placing rock against canal retaining walls to protect them from erosion damage, to delivering landscaping materials, Gold Coast Barges does it all. Our equipment is modern and well-maintained and includes:

• Blue Barge with the largest capacity on the coast
• 5 tonne excavator with extended boom (we can dredge to 3.5m in depth and reach over most waterfront retaining walls) – with buckets, grapple and ripper tine
• Tracked Bobcat with 4-1 bucket and forklift attachment

Our barge comes with a hard-working, skilled and professional team consisting of myself as coxswain and a talented machinery operator. We can usually fit bookings within 1-3 weeks – often sooner if we are already working in your area.

Please don’t hesitate to call if you would like a firm quote on your site. We also work for hourly hire and, if we are already working in your area, we don’t charge travel time to and from your job. You can hire our barge and cox only at $275 per hour – or barge and both the excavator and bobcat with operator for only $55 more ($330 per hour total). Remember – we carry the largest loads and therefore reduce the number of trips required.
